Playgarden Park is located on the historic town square of Fulton, Mississippi. Built during 2009, this state-of-the-art facility was made possible by a grant from Michael and Julie Waldorf. The park features a soft surface playground area, large pavilion, shaded tables, benches, landscaped areas and sculptures, by American artist, Tom Otterness. Throughout the park area are informative signs and the Jimmie Lunceford marker–a stop on The Mississippi Blues Trail honoring Fulton native and jazz bandleader, James Melvin Lunceford. The most popular feature of the park is the splash fountain around a large Tom Otterness sculpture. Special events are held throughout the year at the park. Take time to discover and enjoy the best of America’s small town living by visiting Playgarden Park on the historic town square in Fulton, Mississippi-one of the oldest cities in Mississippi’s Tombigbee Valley region!
